Going Right Back...

Making his debut once again Ernesto Martinez for the Kings. Coming back after being out for four months, comes back strong but still not where he used to be. Maybe struggling but still the leading scorer for the Kings. Now as informed by Ernesto,"I'm done playing in the league for now, until I can at least perform asI once could". I guess this injury away from the game, gave him time to think about his future and not his ego. No one knows when or on what team he will come back in but in the meanwhile he will give it his all to get back up.

Third Place for All Divisions..

This season was a disappointing early ending season for Mission Azteca after losing in the Semi-Finals agianst the new champs Patriots. After doiminating the season last season, M. Azteca just couldn't make it past the Patriots to advance. M. Azteca came out in Third place in the Primier Division.

For the Primera Division Nueva Vida just couldn't get over the loss that brought them down to play for third place instead of first place. Cazadores saw that and took advantage of that and came out with the win against Nueva Vida. Cazadores took the third place ranking in the Primera Division with a 44 to 42 final score.

For the Second "A" Division, Dragones can out fairly easy with a quiet 39 to 31 win over Rio Delgado.
For the Second "B" Division, Motozintla won the duel against Chicago with an impressing lead by 10 points. With a final score of 39 to 29 favoring Motozintla.

Finally The Patriots Hit The Top......

The captain of the Patriots Cesar Feria was left without words, after all these years of being the under dog, seeing his team win their first championship in the Premier League. After going through all the elite teams of the Liga Mixteca including last years champs Mission Azteca, they made it to their first finals appearance. The Patriots came in deep with a whole new starting line up, which included: Abraham (Potrillo), James, Pantera and Fabian. With these four the Patriots were just to much for San Luis who recently joined forces with the Hilton Head team which were back to back champions. San Luis stars included: Pedro, Alex, Tino and Frank. But the Patriots showed them that it was their time to shine. San Luis didn't go down easy making the game come down to the final seconds of the game, but the Patriots were just to much for them to handle. There you have it for the new 2011 Champions "Patriots".

Primera Finals Championship (San Andres VS Poblanos)

It was a joy ride for the dominating team of San Andres. San Andres had control of the game the whole time. When Poblanos showed some light of a comeback, San Andres always had an answer for it. San Andres were just too much more skilled then the Poblanos. With a final score of 51 to 37, favoring San Andres, they became back to back champions for thier respected division.

The Battle for the Second "A" Division Championship

There was a little more excitement in the Second "A" Division. The dual against Poblanos VS La Raza was a good one with multiple lead changes and even an overtime. There were even some fights that were getting ready to get loose between players and fans from both teams. Poblanos leader #20 lead the team in scoring with 17 points and La Raza's leading scorer was #26 with 10 points. The overtime score was 55 to 52 favoring Poblanos. The game would seem to be La Raza's but they blew off many game winning opportunities after missing multiple free throw attempts in the final seconds of the regular time. La Raza had chance after chance to seal the victory but Poblanos had championship veterans on their side. This showed to be all they needed to advance as the Champions of their respected division.
